HOWL OF A DOG rescued this sad lonely dog from a life of neglect. Dora was a stray homeless dog captured and taken to the city pound. She was traumatized, underweight and had some skin problems that required medical attention. She was deprived of human affection and proper medical care and her journey to emotional recovery was a slow but eventually a happy ending one. For the first week, her tail was tucked between her legs almost all the time and she walked with her head lowered. Starting with the second week, she began to feel more comfortable and even wagged her tail, timidly, for the first time.
Being offered proper care and much love, now Dora has become a normal dog, enjoying every cuddle and attention she receives.
She’s estimated to be around 3 years old, medium sized, weighing now 19 kg (42 pounds). She has been spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and she’s ready to go to her own loving home. Dora is in our care in Romania, but we also facilitate international adoptions: http://www.howlofadog.org/adoption-pr... If you’d like to make Dora a part of your family and offer her all the love and the care she deserves please email us on contact@howlofadog.org. Thank you! Support Dog Rescues watch Dog Rescue Videos
Helping Dogs in a Small Village and Bringing Hope For a Better Tomorrow - HOWL OF A DOG Rescue4/28/2017
To support Howl Of A Dog Animal Rescue Organization save and help dogs in need, please visit http://www.howlofadog.org Life in some rural regions from our country is hard both for humans and for their animals, and information about animal welfare and animal rights hardly ever reaches remote villages. Unplanned or unwanted litters often end up abandoned on the streets, increasing the number already huge of homeless dogs.
There’s room in every human heart for compassion towards animals too. These people acknowledged that abandoning unwanted puppies and dogs is wrong and inhumane and they accepted to be helped, understanding that neutering saves thousands of innocent lives through prevention.
These simple people serve as an inspiration to their community, demonstrating that animal cruelty and abandonment should never be an option, no matter who you are or where you live. Help is always available if you dare to care. Neutering/spaying your dog is not only an act of responsibility in a world where pet-overpopulation is a serious problem, but also a proof of love for your dog, taking into account the many health benefits it has. Howl Of A Dog organization has started a basic animal welfare education program, offering free neutering/spaying and free microchipping and vaccinations for dogs whose owners cannot afford the costs of these procedures. Howl Of A Dog Rescue Video http://www.howlofadog.org Each time a rescued dog gets adopted another homeless abandoned dog can be saved. This is the magic of adoption. We want to dedicate this video to all the wonderful people in this world who have opened their hearts and homes and adopted an animal in need.
Pet overpopulation is a global problem. With millions of animals in need of adoptive homes, many people may get discouraged and believe that adopting one single animal will not change or improve the overall situation. When in fact the reality is just the opposite. The adoption of that ONE dog makes possible the saving of another dog in need, due to the place that it frees up. Most animal shelters are overcrowded with animals waiting to be adopted and rescuers are able to take in another animal only after the ones they already have in care have found adoptive homes. Some animal shelters are forced to make difficult decisions and euthanize pets to make space for incoming animals.
Each adoption creates space for another animal in need to be rescued and find lasting love through the wonder of adoption. Without adoptions, the rescue work cannot continue. If that one dog does not get adopted, none of the millions of homeless dogs waiting for a chance can be saved. Please make adoption your first option! Support Dog Rescues and Our Dog Rescue Videos
Baby animals crying, apparently in distress, coming from the tall grass on side of a country road were heard by a local who contacted Howl Of A Dog. At first, we thought that maybe some wild animal or stray dog or cat had given birth there. But it turned out to be one of the most heartbreaking cases of animal cruelty we have dealt with: there were several puppies dumped in a bag and simply left there to die. It was a rainy and very chilly autumn morning and their bodies were so cold that it was a miracle their little hearts were still beating
Two of the puppies were out, near the bag, we placed them safe aside and hurried to check the content of the bag and take out the ones that were still inside. The puppies were newly born and still had their umbilical cords attached. We inspected the area carefully to make sure there were no other puppies, and found another one trapped in the grass. Sadly, things have taken an even more tragic turn. Four of the rescued puppies passed away shortly after we arrived at the center. But the three surviving puppies - Lizzie, Taz and Bernie - have made an amazing recovery, growing into healthy playful pups. They are 5 months old, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
Buddy was a homeless dog living a hard life on the streets, but never lost hope. He was sleeping under cars, relying for survival on the occasional treats offered by the kind passersby. He is all just kindness and love and couldn’t be more grateful and happy that he was rescued and offered a second chance. Unfortunately, the medical investigations revealed the presence of a tumor on his spleen and immediate surgery was required.
He underwent total splenectomy and we sent samples of the tumor to a specialized laboratory for histopathological examination, but the results received were not as we wished: Buddy was diagnosed with incipient lymphoma. However, because we have detected it in time, it gives us hope that he will be able to live a comfortable and happy life for a longer period. Buddy is about 6 years old, weights ~ 28 kg and has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He is very well behaved indoor and loves to be taken out for walks and he does very well on leash. We don’t know if he’s ever had a home, but he needs now more than ever a caring and responsible adoptive family to fill his remaining years with much love and compassion.
Howl Of A Dog organization rescued all the dogs and the cat from this video and some of these rescues are still looking for adoptive homes.
ZOEY is a homeless puppy rescued from a forest. She was less than 3 months old when we found her, was very lethargic and weak and her fur was all covered in fleas. Now Zoey is a happy-go-lucky little dog, with a very cheerful and joyful attitude. Being a puppy, she is, of course, full of energy, curious to explore everything around, very playful and she loves all kind of toys. She is a permanent source of positive energy for everyone. She is friendly with other dogs and also feels very comfortable around people and loves to be cuddled.
As an adult dog, we estimate that her size will be medium. Zoey is in our care in Romania, but for anyone abroad who would like to adopt her please note that we also facilitate international adoptions (http://www.howlofadog.org/adoption-pr...). So, if you have a place in your heart and in your home for this wonderful dog, please let us know, our email is: contact@howlofadog.org . Thank you!
Kara is an old dog rescued by Howl Of A Dog organization. Having grown up homeless on the streets and then being locked up in a cage for 4 years, this sweet dog really had a tough life. Kara is calm and gentle, a bit reserved with humans but always comes near if she is food motivated. She is about 10 years old and age has left its marks on her: the hearing has weakened and she was recently diagnosed with spondylosis. Kara needs an adoptive family experienced in dealing with senior dogs and able to offer her all the love and the care she needs now in her golden years.
If you’d like to offer Kara a home, please email us on contact@howlofadog.org. Thank you!
Zuzi was a homeless dog rescued by HOWL OF A DOG. Sadly, the number of homeless dogs forced to endure the hard life on the streets is very big in Romania, Zuzi’s adoptive family knew the situation from our country, so they decided to save a life and adopt Zuzi.
Now Zuzi is a happy Canadian dog citizen :) , loved and cherished as any dog deserves to be. This month she celebrates one year since her adoption. Thank you Maddy and Michael for making Zuzi the happy dog she is today! Field Producer
