The World Animal Awareness Society - WA2S.org has received a PT Cruiser that was donated to become a camera car to be used on the American Strays - Detroit research project.
This is a FLASH - MICRO fund raiser for the World Animal Awareness Society - WA2S.org American Strays - Detroit research project:
This $6,500 donation needs both mechanical and structural work. The structural is being done by High School Students in Clarkston, MI as part of their schooling (this great car would be headed to the trash heap if not for the work being done by the students to keep costs as low as the cost of a used part - see list below.* This structural work is step #1.
The mechanical work is step #2 and will be done by the High School Students at Fitsgerald in Warren, MI as part of P. A. W. S. The cost of the mechanical is expected to be less than the structural. See cost of structural below.*
Structural hard costs - the PT is on the hoist now at Oakland Technical school in Clarkston, MI which is on break until February 27, 2012. That is the deadline for this fund-raiser: Hood $225, Right Fender 150, Left Fender 150, Right Fender liner 25, Left Fender liner 25, Front Bumper 185, Lt Headlamp assy 100, Engine cradle 200, Lower control arm 50, Steering knuckle 90, Drive axle 100, Lt strut 40, Sway bar link 20, Misc 150, Wheel, horns, etc, Paint and materials 200 Total Est. Parts $1710
