LAST CHANCE RESCUE Stories From The Devoted Barn Birth Defect Puppy Poops Everywhere Has Life Saved! Season 1 Episode 4 On this episode of LCR Melissa and Ava, along with trusty companion Ruger, travel 7 hours to Kentucky to meet with a transporter. The transporter is delivering a couple months old French Mastiff puppy that had been turned in to a veterinarians office in Tennessee who had been asked to terminate the puppy because no one would want him. The reason? The puppy had a birth defect and the initial diagnosis was stenosis of the spine. This fun-loving energetic puppy is unable to control any potty function. It is as if she is a leaky balloon. She cannot help it. And, at least as the breeder thought, no one would want this dog, and we do not want to put any more money into this property that will not pay us back - so let's just kill it. This is where The Devoted Barn come in. And why we know them as the LAST CHANCE RESCUE! Watch the whole video so you can see what almost happened. You'll get to see this beautiful puppy - now named Cami as she goes to get x-rays at the Vet. LAST CHANCE RESCUE Stories From The Devoted Barn Season 1 Episode 3 2 Abused Skinny Mardi Gras Parade Horses Saved! Letter To The Editor of NOLA.com: I was surprised to learn that some of the horses used in Mardi Gras parades each year are purchased just for the event, and then left to uncertain fates. The disposable nature of Mardi Gras beads has sparked a controversy, but treating living beings with, quite literally, the same disregard as a throw should not even be a debate. We can and must do better for Louisiana's horses. *end* That is the fate of so many of these horses after Mardi Gras. Follow WA2S Films cameras as we document Melissa Borden founder of The Devoted Barn animal sanctuary, and world-renown animal rescuer as she travels to St. Landry Parish, Louisiana to save the lives of a couple of thrown away horses. Pay particularly close attention to the short intermission with the piglets, Andy and Nugget. You won't want to miss them!
