LAST CHANCE RESCUE Stories From The Devoted Barn Season 1 Episode 3 2 Abused Skinny Mardi Gras Parade Horses Saved! Letter To The Editor of NOLA.com: I was surprised to learn that some of the horses used in Mardi Gras parades each year are purchased just for the event, and then left to uncertain fates. The disposable nature of Mardi Gras beads has sparked a controversy, but treating living beings with, quite literally, the same disregard as a throw should not even be a debate. We can and must do better for Louisiana's horses. *end* That is the fate of so many of these horses after Mardi Gras. Follow WA2S Films cameras as we document Melissa Borden founder of The Devoted Barn animal sanctuary, and world-renown animal rescuer as she travels to St. Landry Parish, Louisiana to save the lives of a couple of thrown away horses. Pay particularly close attention to the short intermission with the piglets, Andy and Nugget. You won't want to miss them!
